Risk Disclosure
Last updated October 22, 2026
Afterbell is currently a waitlist website. The trading venue and liquidity vault described below are planned features, not a live offer to trade or deposit. If they launch, you could lose some or all of the value you commit.
Synthetic perpetuals are not shares
The planned NVDA, TSLA, AAPL, GOOGL and META markets are synthetic perpetual contracts designed to reference prices. They do not give you shares, voting rights, dividends, corporate-action rights, or a claim against the referenced company. A reference price may diverge from the price of the underlying share or token.
Leverage can rapidly magnify losses
Leverage lets a position have greater notional exposure than its margin. A relatively small adverse price move, fees, funding payments or price impact can consume margin and cause liquidation. Liquidation can happen quickly, at a worse price than expected, and may not prevent loss of all margin. The site’s “up to 5x” statement is a product target; available leverage may vary by market conditions and session, or change before launch.
The real stock market closes; the planned markets may not
Prices can continue to move while the underlying US stock market is closed. News, thin liquidity, stale reference prices, oracle delays and the market reopening can create large gaps. A position that appeared adequately margined may become liquidatable before the price feed, keeper, or contract can respond. The vault may incur losses when a position settles after a gap.
Liquidity providers are the counterparty
The planned shared USDC vault takes the other side of trader positions. Traders depend on the vault’s available assets to pay profits; liquidity providers bear the corresponding counterparty risk and can lose principal. Exposure caps, reserves, cooldowns or other risk limits may reduce risk but cannot eliminate it. Withdrawals may be delayed or limited when utilization is high, and an LP share may be worth less than the amount deposited.
Technology, custody and cross-chain risks
- Smart-contract bugs, exploits, configuration errors, oracle failures, keeper or relayer downtime, and emergency pauses can cause loss, delay, or inability to trade or withdraw.
- NEAR, wallet, RPC, bridge, token, or other supported-chain failures may interrupt deposits, trading, settlement, or withdrawals. Cross-chain swaps through NEAR Intents can fail, take time, or execute at a different rate than expected.
- Transactions may be irreversible. Lost keys, compromised devices, malicious approvals, or signing the wrong message can result in permanent loss. A wallet-controlled account does not remove these risks.
- Stablecoins can lose their peg, be frozen, or become unavailable. The value and transferability of USDC and other supported assets depend on their issuers and networks.
Fees, funding and liquidity
Trading can involve execution fees, funding payments, price impact, liquidation penalties, network costs and cross-chain conversion costs. Funding may change over time and may be paid by either side. Thin liquidity can make entry, exit, or liquidation more expensive, and an order may not execute at the displayed or expected price. Final fee schedules and mechanics, if the product launches, will be shown in product terms and transaction screens.
AI agent risk
If Afterbell’s planned AI trading feature becomes available, an agent can make incorrect, delayed, or unsuitable decisions and lose money. AI output is not a prediction or recommendation. Onchain permissions are intended to constrain agent actions, but they cannot guarantee profitable or safe outcomes and do not protect against every software, market, or key-management failure.
Regulatory, tax and eligibility risk
Leveraged synthetic equity products and digital assets may be restricted or regulated differently across jurisdictions. The planned service is not intended for users in the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Switzerland, the United Arab Emirates, sanctioned locations, or other restricted jurisdictions. Eligibility rules may change. You are responsible for understanding and meeting the rules that apply to you and for determining any tax consequences.
No advice or guarantee
Nothing on this website is investment, legal, tax, or financial advice, a recommendation, or an offer to trade. No return, liquidity, execution, uptime, price accuracy, or protection from loss is guaranteed. Do not risk funds you cannot afford to lose. Get independent advice if you are unsure whether a product is appropriate for you.
These risks are not exhaustive. Read the final product terms and on-screen disclosures before interacting with any future trading or vault feature.
